My daughter, Noelle, is a wonderful seven-year-old who loves Pokemon, drawing, and hockey. Noelle is also autistic, and like many people who are autistic, church when done “as regular” can seem overwhelming or even at times unwelcoming.

Celebrating 150 years of Mennonites in Kleefeld
On October 6, 2024, Kleefeld EMC (KEMC) celebrated the 150th anniversary of the arrival of Mennonite immigrants in 1874 to Kleefeld—the same year the Kleine Gemeinde started in Canada.

Fifty years of change is good!…or not?
Half a century ago, a young family travelled west to Calgary to begin a church plant. Shortly thereafter, another family followed. Trusting in God’s faithfulness, they embraced the change.

We were in the dark, quite literally. Due to an accident and damage to a transformer on the Saturday evening before our planned deacon commissioning service, we experienced a widespread power outage in our area.

June 23, 2024, Multicultural Sunday, was celebrated at Abbeydale Christian Fellowship by recognizing the diversity of believers in our church family in a number of ways. About 20 languages were represented either in Scripture reading or song.
Pre-dedication at the core
This year has held so many beautiful and heart-warming blessings to praise God for. The parent/child dedications. The multiple baptisms. The member acceptances. The involvement and leadership in a huge community-wide children’s VBS program.
Playing for fun and connection
SBF’s season of Sunday school ended with an outdoor service, followed by lunch outdoors. After lunch attendees made some teams and played interactive games with people of all ages. It was a beautiful day!
A youth’s journey of faith and baptism
One of the youth in Mennville EMC’s joint youth ministry with Riverton Gospel Chapel recently asked to be baptized in our church. Upon her confession of faith, we baptized and welcomed Susan Marks into membership on May 19, 2024.

Alive and well in Roseisle!
Roseisle EMC , Roseisle, Manitoba THE HOLY SPIRIT has definitely been at work in our midst. We had three baptisms in 2022, and three in 2023. We pray for more this summer. There has been much interest in the catechism classes that Pastor Fernando Hiebert hosts every Sunday during the winter months.
Stories of God at Work Span Generations and Places
The eleven testimonies we heard on February 11, 2024, at our baptism and membership service were heart-stirring. The worship in song moved us in celebration and joy. The resounding amens as we accepted the men, women and youth publicly to our church family were deeply moving.
